Continuation of the 2026 March 23 Public Hearing Meeting of Council on the Repeal of Blanket Rezoning

CALGARY – The 2026 March 23 Public Hearing Meeting of Council in which Council is considering proposed amendments to Land Use Bylaw 1P2007 related to the repeal of citywide residential rezoning and the restoration of previous low density residential land use districts (C2026-0153, Bylaw 9P2026) is in its second week. The City of Calgary would like to share the most recent schedule for the continuation of the Meeting.

Due to the Regular Meeting of Council scheduled for Tuesday, 2026 March 31, and the Regular Meeting of the Community Development Committee scheduled for Wednesday, 2026 April 1, the 2026 March 23 Public Hearing Meeting of Council will resume in Council Chamber on Thursday, 2026 April 2 at 9:30 a.m. Please be aware that the schedule may be adjusted as needed, based on the direction of City Council.

Members of the public who wish to speak to Council at the Public Hearing can continue to register online at calgary.ca/publicsubmissions, or in person at the registration desk located in the Municipal Building Atrium on Thursday, 2026 April 2. The City encourages registered speakers to follow the livestream at calgary.ca/watchlive or the live agenda at calgary.ca/agenda to follow the progress of the meeting and to see which panels are speaking.

This is one of the largest Public Hearings ever held in Calgary, with 538 speakers registered at last count as of 8:45 p.m. on 2026 March 30.
