Coming soon – storefront at Bridgeland Station

Calgary Transit is enhancing convenience for commuters and community members with the arrival of a new retailer at Bridgeland Station. Opening in mid-October, the convenience store will offer a range of on-the-go items for CTrain riders, nearby residents, and visitors on the move.

It’s part of our ongoing efforts to make stops and stations more welcoming and convenient for Calgarians.

After a competitive bid process earlier this year, we have selected well-known convenience retailer, INS Market, to revive the retail space.

INS Market is one of Canada’s most recognizable retail franchises, with more than 130 locations across the country, including office buildings, transit hubs, malls, hospitals, casinos, busy streets, and post-secondary institutions. With its more than 30 years’ experience, flexible structure, and high buying power, INS is able to offer service and products that are customized for local markets.

The INS Market store will offer a convenient stop for Calgarians to grab snacks, beverages, travel essentials and more, during their commute. It’s not just transit customers who will benefit from the stores, but also people passing through stations connecting to their destination.

Re-opening storefronts, as well as exploring new storefronts at transit properties will not only provide additional revenue for Calgary Transit but will contribute to creating more vibrant and welcoming public spaces. With a more regular presence of employees and customers we expect to provide a more comfortable experience.  

Later this fall, a new café will be opening at Westbrook Station. As part of this initiative to create better spaces at LRT stations, Calgary Transit will release additional opportunities for storefront and retail locations.
