Clerk stabbed during robbery

Police are seeking public assistance to locate a suspect who stabbed a convenience store clerk during a robbery last night.

Just after 10 p.m., on Monday, Nov. 12, 2018, a man entered the Lucky 7 Convenience Store, located at 6800 Memorial Drive East, and demanded money from the cashier who was standing at the back of the store with customers. The man attacked the cashier, stabbing him before fleeing the store. A woman was also observed outside of the store holding a knife and fled the area with the male suspect. The two ran westbound from the store without obtaining any property or money.

Two customers who were standing with the clerk at the time of the attack called police and rendered medical assistance to the wounded clerk. He was transported to hospital in life-threatening condition, and is now currently in stable condition.

Witnesses describe the male suspect as being in his 20s, approximately 5’6” tall, wearing a dark hoodie with a green design on the back, blue jeans and a white baseball hat.

The female suspect is described as Caucasian, approximately 5’ tall, with a slim build.

Police are in the process of gathering CCTV evidence and will release any viable images as soon as they are available.
