City services: Family Day 2022

Getting around
Calgary Transit
On Monday, February 21, Calgary Transit will be operating buses, CTrains and On Demand on a Sunday level of service.
February 19 -22 – City Hall to 39 Avenue closure
Beginning February 19 until the early morning of February 22 (before service starts), the Red Line will be closed between the 39 Avenue and City Hall stations.
- The Red Line from the North terminates at City Hall South Station and runs on a 15-minute schedule.
- The Red Line from the South terminates at 39 Avenue Station on the inbound platform (east) and runs on a 16-minute schedule.
- Shuttle buses will replace train service between 39 Avenue and City Hall Stations, running every 5 minutes.
- Additional shuttle buses will be provided before and after the Calgary Flames hockey games on Saturday February 19 and Monday February 21. This is to accommodate the expected increase in Transit ridership.
Parking
No payment is required for on-street parking on Alberta Family Day, Monday, February 21. Holiday rates will be in effect at select Calgary Parking Authority parkades and select surface lots.
The CPA Contact Centre and Impound Lot will be closed on February 21.

Facility hours and closures
All Calgary Recreation facilities will be closed on Monday, February 21 except for Southland Leisure Centre and Village Square Leisure Centre, which will be open from 10:00 a.m. until 5:30 p.m.
The City is offering free public skates on Thursday, February 17 and Friday, February 18 at the following locations.
