Getting around

Calgary Transit

Over the Easter long weekend, we'll be adjusting our service hours. On Friday, April 18 (Good Friday) we will be operating buses, CTrains, and On Demand on a Sunday level of service.

The Red Line will be closed between Sunnyside and University stations starting Friday, April 18, until start of service on Monday, April 21. Shuttles will provide replacement service between Sunnyside and Brentwood stations, and three-car trains will be deployed to maintain service levels during the closure. Full details on this service disruption are available at calgarytransit.com/CTrain-service.

Be sure to use our trip planner to plan your route and avoid delays this weekend! For more information on fares, schedules, and Customer Service hours over the long weekend, visit calgarytransit.com.

Calgary Parking

Enjoy free parking in on-street ParkPlus zones on Friday, April 18 and Monday, April 21. Weekend rates apply at Calgary Parking parkades and surface lots. Please note that regular rates will be in effect at partner lots such as Calgary Stampede, TELUS Spark, Calgary Zoo and Heritage Park.

The Calgary Parking Contact Centre and Impound Lot will be closed. For more information, please visit Calgary Parking.

Plan ahead. Download the Waze app for real-time driver info and use The City’s other traveller information tools. Visit calgary.ca/trafficinfo for a full list of traffic events, incidents, closures and detours.

Be safe. Slow down.

At Easter and every day, we’re asking drivers to reduce their speed. We all understand that speeding is dangerous, but we may not understand that every kilometre over the speed limit increases the risk of a crash. Visit calgary.ca/besafe  and calgary.ca/traffictips to learn more about what you can do keep yourself and others safe on our roads and pathways.
