Getting around
Calgary Transit - CTrain disruptions
Over the Family Day long weekend, we adjust our service hours. Use our trip planner to see when your bus is running. On Monday, May 23, we will be operating buses, CTrains and On Demand on a Sunday level of service.
Over the May long weekend (May 21-23) all 7 Avenue stations (both Red Line and Blue Line), Victoria Park/Stampede Station and Erlton/Stampede Station will be closed. Shuttle buses will replace service between stations. For more information visit CTrain Service information.
Road construction and traffic safety
Visit calgary.ca/trafficinfo for a list of current traffic incidents, road closures and detours. Remember: obey the signs and take your time.
Parking
Victoria Day - May 23, 2022: Payment is not required for on-street ParkPlus zones and holiday rates will be in effect in select CPA surface lots and parkades. Regular rates will be in effect at Calgary Zoo and Heritage Park. Our Impound Lot will also be closed. More information is available at calgaryparking.com.
Street sweeping
There will be no street sweeping on the Victoria Day holiday. Crews continue sweeping in residential areas Mondays through Fridays (excluding holidays) from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.. We would like to thank citizens for moving their vehicles to help us make a clean sweep. Visit calgary.ca/sweep for schedule lookup, e-mail/text notification sign-up and information on The City’s Spring Clean-up program.
Facility hours and closures
Southland and Village Square Leisure Centres will be open on Monday, May 23 from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m.
The following facilities will be closed on Monday, May 23, 2022:
- All City of Calgary Administrative buildings (including City Hall)
- All Arenas
- Calgary Soccer Centre (except for advanced bookings)
- North Mount Pleasant and Wildflower Arts Centres
