City of Calgary confirms Fireworks for Canada Day at Stampede Park

CALGARY - The City of Calgary is pleased to announce that Stampede Park will be the location of the launch of the aerial fireworks display on July 1, 2023.

“The City of Calgary committed to sharing the location for a site to hold the Canada Day display, and we’re so happy to announce that our partner, the Calgary Stampede, will be the site for the launch of 2023 fireworks,” said City Manager David Duckworth.

Exact details of timing will be announced closer to the date once plans are finalized. Please note that onsite viewing at Stampede Park will not be possible due to the set-up of the 2023 Stampede.

Calgarians will have a variety of options to observe July 1 in a way most meaningful to them. The City is offering diverse, educational and inclusive programming for Calgarians to celebrate culture and community on Canada Day 2023, including an enhanced pyrotechnic show featuring a visually stunning display of lights and sounds that will be launched from the main stage at Fort Calgary during the headliner act.
