City of Calgary Animal Services hosts two upcoming adoption events

The City of Calgary’s Animal Services Centre is inviting Calgarians to open their hearts and homes to a new furry friend at two special adoption events this fall. Whether you’re a cat cuddler or a dog devotee, there’s a perfect match waiting just for you.

From September 25–27, all adoptable cats will be available for $84.52 + GST. The following week, from October 2–4, it’s the dogs’ turn to shine — all adoptable dogs will be available for $100 + GST.

Every animal adopted from Animal Services Centre comes with more than just a wagging tail or a gentle purr. Each pet is spayed or neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, health-checked and comes with a one-year license. This means families can feel confident knowing their new companion is not only affordable, but also healthy, safe and ready to settle into their forever home.

“These events are a wonderful opportunity for Calgarians to meet some of the incredible pets in our care and give them the loving homes they deserve,” says Kathleen Dickson, Coordinator, Animal Care and Clinic Services. “We’re proud to provide high-quality, cost-friendly adoptions that not only connect people with new companions but also support responsible pet ownership in our city.”

Adoptions will take place at the Animal Services Centre (2201 Portland St S.E.) during regular hours of operation. Stop by, meet some four-legged friends and see if one steals your heart.
