Charges laid in quadruple homicide

Following an investigation that spanned multiple provinces, police have now laid charges in connection with a quadruple homicide that occurred in July.

On Monday, July 10, 2017, Glynnis FOX, 36, Cody PFEIFFER, 25, and Tiffany EAR, 39, were found deceased in a burnt-out vehicle in Sage Hill. Hanock AFOWERK, 26, was found deceased near Highway 22 and Highway 8 on Wednesday, July 12, 2017.

Yu Chieh LIAO, 24, who goes by Diana LIAO, and Tewodros Mutugeta KEBEDE, 25, both face charges of first-degree murder in connection with the homicide of AFOWERK. LIAO and KEBEDE also face three counts each of accessory after the fact (murder) in the deaths of FOX, PFEIFFER and EAR.

LIAO and KEBEDE are next scheduled to appear in court on Thursday, Nov. 2, 2017.

Although charges have been laid, the investigation is ongoing as police believe there are additional people involved.
