Charges laid in indecent exposure incident

We have charged a man in connection with an indecent exposure incident that occurred in the community of Mission.

On Thursday, April 7, 2022, at approximately 4:30 p.m., a woman was walking near 4 Street and Elbow Drive S.W., when she noticed a man in a white Dodge truck who appeared to be following her. The truck drove past her multiple times along 4 Street and on a few occasions the driver made eye contact with the victim.

As the woman approached 4 Street and 20 Avenue S.W., the truck appeared to be stopped and then followed the woman as she crossed the street. It is believed that at this time the driver of the truck attempted to speak to the victim while he was engaged in an indecent act. The victim then screamed, and the man fled southbound along 4 Street in the truck.

The victim was able to take note of the truck’s license plate number which she provided to police along with a detailed description of the suspect.

Investigators have since located and arrested one man. Ryan JOSE, 28, of Calgary, has been charged with one count of committing an indecent act and will next appear in court on Tuesday, May 3, 2022.
