Charges laid in drug trafficking investigation

We have charged a Calgary man who is believed to be responsible for a drug trafficking operation in the southwest, resulting in a seizure of $17,980 worth of various drugs.  

In September, police received information from concerned citizens about suspected drug trafficking activity originating in a residential area, creating a dangerous situation for other residents and community members.

After a two-month long investigation, investigators were able to gather evidence that supported these claims of illegal activity.

On Monday, Nov. 7, 2022, police executed a search warrant in the 2100 block of Southland Drive S.W.

As a result, police seized:

  • 32.2 grams of cocaine
  • 103.7 grams of crack cocaine
  • 300 pills of Fentanyl  
  • 20 grams of Fentanyl
  • 38 grams of methamphetamine 
  • 21 pills of Trazadone  
  • 2.4 grams of a suspected buffing agent
  • $1,360 in cash

One man was taken into custody and charged. Brodie Caleb STEWART, 21, has been charged with four counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and one count of possession of property obtained by crime.

STEWART will next appear in court on Friday, Nov. 18, 2022.
