Charges laid in drug trafficking investigation

Officers seized more than $30,000 in drugs and cash, and one person has been charged with drug trafficking offences.

Last month, District 4 officers with the District Operations Team launched an investigation into a person suspected of drug trafficking.

On Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2025, with support from District 7 patrol officers, investigators conducted a traffic stop in the community of Forest Lawn. One man was taken into custody, and a search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of:

  • Approximately 100.7 grams of suspected fentanyl, worth an estimated $10,070

  • Approximately 53.7 grams of suspected cocaine, worth an estimated $5,370

  • 41 oxycodone pills, worth an estimated $820

  • $14,045 in Canadian currency

  • $110 in American currency

As a result, Muhammad HUZAIFA, 21, is charged with:

  • Three counts of possession of controlled substances for the purpose of trafficking

  • One count of proceeds of crime over $5,000

HUZAIFA will next appear in court on Monday, Jan.19, 2026.
