Charges laid in assault on two peace officers at Calgary Correctional Centre

The Calgary Police Service has laid charges against two inmates in relation to an assault on two peace officers at the Calgary Correctional Centre that occurred last month.

He was allegedly also assaulted by the men. After a brief struggle, the peace officers were able to force the two men into a cell just prior to additional assistance entering the area.

Both peace officers were assessed by medical staff on site and subsequently transported to hospital where they were treated for minor injuries and released.
