Charges laid in Alpine Park sexual assault investigation

Police have arrested and charged a man in connection to the sexual assault of a show home employee in Alpine Park.

On Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2023, we asked the public for help in identifying a man believed to be responsible for confining a show home employee in a room during a house tour on Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2023, and touching her in a sexual manner without consent.

With assistance from the public and media, the man has been identified as Zubair HANIF, 46, of Calgary. HANIF has been charged with one count of sexual assault and one count of forcible confinement.

He will next appear in court on Thursday, March 16, 2023.
