Charges laid in 2025 hit and run

We have charged a woman following a hit and run collision that occured on Monday, May 12, 2025.

Michelle LYNN-MEISINGER, 48, of Calgary, is charged with:

• One count of hit and run causing bodily harm
• One count of public mischief by filing a false police report

LYNN-MEISINGER is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday, April 2, 2026.

Calgary police investigate serious-injury pedestrian hit-and-run

Our Traffic Section is currently investigating a hit-and-run collision that occurred yesterday in the southeast community of Penbrooke Meadows, resulting in a teen boy sustaining serious life-altering injuries.

At approximately 10:05 p.m. on Monday, May 12, 2025, a collision occurred in the southbound lanes of 52 Street S.E., at the intersection of Pensdale Road S.E.

At that time, it is believed a 16-year-old boy was crossing eastbound in the crosswalk, across the southbound lanes of 52 Street S.E., when he was struck by what is believed to be a light-coloured SUV, that failed to stop at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing as police continue to search for the driver.

The victim was transported to hospital in serious condition.

Speed is currently being investigated as a factor in this collision.

There is no evidence of drug or alcohol use being a factor in this collision at this time.
