Canada Day holiday hours of operation

We're adjusting our hours of operations for Canada Day on Friday July 1, 2021.

Canada Day celebrations

This year, The City of Calgary is inviting citizens to celebrate what makes us Canadian at our Canada Day Get Together. Head downtown for all events, including learning more about Indigenous culture and a full day of music, entertainment and fireworks. There is something for everyone to enjoy!

Fireworks Show

Thanks to support from Canadian Heritage, everyone is invited to join us for the Canada Day Get Together live fireworks show with CJSW 90.9 FMmusical soundtrack featuring Canadian artists.

A blessing by Stoney Nakoda Elder Cindy Daniels and message from Calgary Mayor Jyoti Gondek will preceed the fireworks at 11 p.m. from atop the Calgary Municipal Building. The livestream will be available at Calgary.ca/CanadaDay or the fireworks can be seen from anywhere with a view of the Calgary Municipal Building.
