Calling all young artists: Help make Calgary safer with your creativity!

The Calgary Police Service (CPS) Crime Prevention Team and YouthLink Calgary Police Interpretive Centre are launching the 2025 Crime Prevention Poster Contest!

Calgary students from Kindergarten to Grade 12 are invited to grab their pencils, markers, paintbrushes, and digital tools to showcase their artistic talent while promoting important safety messages.

The contest is all about inspiring youth to think about safety in a creative way, so choose a theme and get creative!

Students can design a poster based on one of three important crime prevention themes:

Personal safety: Tips for staying safe while out and about.
Home safety: Ways to protect your home and belongings.
Community safety: How we can look out for each other and make our neighborhoods safer.

Calgary Police Service Chief Constable Mark Neufeld and a celebrity panel of judges will select the top nine winning designs. The winners will be unveiled at a special event on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at the YouthLink Calgary Police Interpretive Centre.

How to enter:

Open to all Calgary students (K-12)
Posters can be hand-drawn or digital.
Submissions must be uploaded using the Crime Prevention Poster Contest Form before midnight on April 14, 2025.
