Calgary Transit resumes regular service after snowfall

By 3 p.m. today, Calgary Transit will revert all snow detours back to regular routes.

We would like to thank our customers for their understanding and flexibility as we implemented snow detours on our bus routes this morning. In response to the forecasted challenging weather conditions, we proactively implemented these detours to ensure we were able to get customers to their destination safely.

“This proactive measure contributed to minimizing disruptions, with very few buses encountering difficulties today,” said Stephen Tauro, Acting Manager, Transit Service Support. “This approach is something we’ll continue to do in the future when icy conditions or heavy snowfall are in the forecast.”

We encourage all Calgary Transit customers to plan ahead, give themselves extra travel time, and stay connected with us through our communication channels.
