Boxing day death deemed non-criminal

Investigators have determined that a man found deceased in southeast Calgary on Boxing Day died of natural causes.

On Saturday, Dec. 26, 2020, at approximately 8:30 a.m., we were called to the 1800 block of 54 Street S.E., for reports of a deceased man.

The death was investigated by our Homicide Unit and after a review of all evidence, including CCTV from the area and an autopsy completed by The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, the death was deemed non-suspicious.

As the incident was not criminal in nature, no further details will be released.
