Boards, Commissions and Committees Appointments

The City of Calgary is releasing the names of Public Members who have been appointed to The City's Boards, Commissions and Committees.

The 2021 recruitment campaign called for volunteers across 18 different boards this year and saw 631 applications from Calgarians wanting to get involved in City decision-making.

In addition to filling vacancies on existing boards, there was a newly established board this year that required additional recruitment:

• Citizen-led Selection Committee for the Integrity Commissioner

Appointments for the Citizen-led Selection Committee for the Integrity Commissioner, the Audit Committee and the Calgary Planning Commission were released on Nov. 1, 2021.

The remaining Boards, Commissions and Committees appointments were made at the Nov. 15, 2021 Council meeting:

• Saddledome Foundation (report N2021-1208)
• Civic Partners (report N2021-1384)
• Public Members Appointed to Boards, Commissions and Committees (report N2021-1207)

City Boards, Commissions and Committees provide advice, make recommendations to Council or adjudicate upon particular City matters. They provide citizens with an opportunity to participate in the present and future direction of the city.
