Bag of Lost Cash Returned to Citizen

A Calgary Transit CTrain operator found a bag left behind on the train containing close to $1,500 in cash on Monday.

The money was returned to the delighted and relieved Calgary Transit customer, who had already called in to customer service to report the lost bag.

The CTrain operator spotted the bag as he walked through the train at the end of the Blue Line at 69 Street Station.

The customer had left the bag behind at Westbrook Station when she got off the train Monday afternoon. The woman, who is on social assistance, was carrying the cash to pay for her rent.

Today she will meet up with operator to say thank you.
