Assault and attempted robbery in Hidden Valley

We’re asking for the public’s help to identify an unknown man believed to be connected to an assault and attempted robbery that occurred in the northwest last week.

On Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at approximately 10:35 a.m., investigators believe an unknown man approached a woman walking in the area of Hidden Ranch Circle and Hidden Valley Dr. N.W., grabbed her without provocation, and held a knife to her neck while demanding money. The victim was able to break free from the suspect and ran to safety. The victim sustained minor physical injuries as a result of the assault.

The suspect is described as a man 35 to 40-years-old, approximately 5’11” to 6’ tall, and having a medium build. At the time of the incident, the suspect was wearing dark pants and a black puffy jacket, and is described as clean shaven and bald.

Anyone who may have been in the area on June 1 between 10:15 and 10:45 a.m., and witnessed the incident, or who may have CCTV footage or dashcam footage, is asked to contact police.

At this time, we believe this to be an isolated incident and have increased patrols in this area since the incident was reported to police.
