Additional firearms trafficking charges laid in relation to the death of Madisson COBB

After collecting new evidence, a woman has been charged for her role in trafficking a firearm that was later used in the homicide of a woman last summer.

At approximately 4:30 p.m., on Saturday, July 19, 2025, we responded to reports of gunshots in a parking garage at the Shops at Heritage, located at 8835 Macleod Tr. S.W. Upon arrival, police and emergency services personnel located 23-year-old Madisson COBB suffering from gunshot wounds. She was declared deceased at the scene.

Two days later, Devon Bradley MALIK, 27, was taken into custody and charged with first-degree murder.

Shortly after the arrest, the firearm used in Madisson’s death was recovered with a defaced serial number, and a separate investigation by Firearms Investigative Team was initiated.

On Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2026, investigators executed a search warrant at a residence located in the 2700 block of 16 Avenue S.W., and seized seven firearms, multiple air guns and various ammunition. Through that investigation, on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, Gordon Kesh CAMERON, who goes by Kesh CAMERON, 44, of Calgary, was arrested and was charged with two counts of firearms trafficking, two counts of failing to report a firearm lost or stolen and one count of possession of prohibited devices.

Investigators continued follow the evidence in this case and identified a woman who is alleged to have organized the sale of a firearm that MALIK used in Madisson’s death.

Yesterday, Tuesday, June 9, 2026, Reanna MADER, 38, of Calgary, was arrested and charged with one count of firearms trafficking. She has been released and will appear in court on Thursday, July 9, 2026. 

“Madisson’s death was senseless. Our investigators have worked tirelessly to pursue every lead in this case, committed to seeking justice for Madisson and her family,” says Staff Sgt. Mike Shute of the CPS Homicide Unit. “This investigation demonstrates that we will thoroughly investigate anyone who plays a role in gun violence in Calgary, regardless of who pulled the trigger.”
