2025 General Election- Election Day unofficial voter turnout (7 p.m.)

Oct. 20, 2025 is Election Day, and all voting stations in Calgary are open between 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Unofficial turnout includes voting stations outside of Calgary for the separate trustee election.

As of 7 p.m., approximately 46 per cent of voting stations were reporting wait times of 20 minutes or less. Some stations are experiencing longer wait times. Voting stations tend to be busiest when they first open and in the late afternoon and evening hours. If a voter is in line by 8 p.m., they will get to cast their vote.

Election workers must check eligibility on the Permanent Electors Register  (PER), a new legislative requirement and issue up to three individual ballots. Any voter who wishes to vote in a trustee election, who is not on the PER, or who does not have government-issued photo ID must also make a statement.
