2025 General Election- Election Day unofficial voter turnout (1 p.m.)

Oct. 20, 2025 is Election Day, and all voting stations in Calgary are open between 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.  

Some stations experienced longer wait times this morning. Approximately 70% of voting stations are experiencing wait times of less than 20 minutes. Voting stations tend to be busiest when they first open and in the late afternoon and evening hours. If a voter is in line by 8 p.m., they will get to cast their vote.  

Election workers must check eligibility on the Permanent Electors Register  (PER), a new legislative requirement and issue up to three individual ballots. Any voter who wishes to vote in a trustee election, who is not on the PER, or who does not have government-issued photo ID must also make a statement.
