The 2021 General Election was held on Oct. 18, 2021. Starting at 8 p.m. on Election night, unofficial election results were available on calgaryelectionresults.ca. Election results will become official on Friday, Oct. 22 at noon and detailed voting results will be posted on the open data catalogue.

We had 37 designated Advance Vote stations, during Oct. 4-10, as well as voting opportunities on post-secondary campuses, in shelters, at care facilities and at the Calgary Municipal Building. There were 188 voting stations on Election Day, open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

“I would like to thank all of the election workers and citizens who participated in the 2021 General Election. It was our goal to deliver a safe, accessible and compliant election, which was possible due to your efforts,” said Kate Martin, Returning Officer with Elections Calgary. “I would like to specifically thank voters for their patience as some voting stations experienced long lineups on Election night as we worked to ensure a safe and compliant process for voters.
