2016 fatal assault deemed a homicide

The Calgary Police Service Homicide Unit continues to investigate a fatal assault from 2016.

On Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2016, at approximately 11 p.m., police responded to a residence in the 1600 block of 42 Street S.W., for reports of an unconscious male. Upon arrival, a man was located in life-threatening condition and transported to hospital by EMS.

On Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2016, the victim succumbed to his injuries, leading to the CPS Homicide Unit taking over the investigation.

The victim is identified as Trevor Jordan LOMOND, 33, of Calgary.

Investigators believe members of the public may have more information about the events that unfolded in September.
