14 Street & 17 Ave SW intersection work is complete

This weekend, as part of the 17 Avenue SW Reconstruction Project, The City of Calgary completed much-needed utility replacements and signal work at the intersection of 17 Ave. and 14 St. SW.

Originally, this work was scheduled to be complete by the morning rush hour on Tuesday, July 2, but we’re ahead of schedule. Crews worked around the clock to complete these upgrades and the intersection will be open in time for Canada Day celebrations! The intersection will be open at 5 am Monday, July 1.

The City thanks citizens for their patience while we complete this important work. The 17 Avenue SW Reconstruction Project is now approximately 80 per cent complete, with road construction and utility work expected wrap up this fall.
