Update: Homicide Unit investigation in Panorama Hills

Autopsies on the victims of Saturday’s double fatality in Panorama Hills are scheduled for today, Monday, June 12, 2017. At the conclusion of the procedures, the names of the victims will be publicly released.

The suspect in this case remains in hospital and will be charged when he’s medically fit. He remains in serious condition.

Further details about this case will be made available following the autopsies.

The Calgary Police Service Homicide Unit is currently leading the investigation into the deaths of two people this morning.

At approximately 5:15 a.m., today, Saturday, June 10, 2017, emergency crews were called to a home in the 0-100 block of Panamount Common N.W., for reports of at least four people in medical distress.

It’s believed there was an altercation inside the home between several people who were known to each other, which escalated to a violent assault.

Two people were deceased at the home. A third person was taken to hospital with critical injuries and is currently receiving medical treatment. A fourth person was transported to hospital in serious condition. A fifth person inside the home was uninjured and is being interviewed by investigators.

Police are not looking for suspects in this case and the incident was not random.
