Update: Charges laid in stranger sex assault

The Calgary Police Service has charged a man in relation to a sexual assault that took place earlier this week.

At approximately 5:15 p.m., on Monday, Jan. 8, 2018, a 16-year-old female was cleaning the men’s washroom at the Dairy Queen, located at 1906 Centre St. N.E., when she was sexually assaulted.

Early on the morning of Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2018, a suspect was taken into custody.

Colin Phillip BULL SHIELDS, 23, of no fixed address, is charged with one count each of forcible confinement and sexual assault. He will next appear in court on Friday, Jan 19, 2018.
