Update - Incident in Forest Lawn

The Calgary Police Service is seeking public assistance in relation to a homicide today in the community of Forest Lawn.

The suspect in this case, Deibi Francisco MONTERROSO SALAZAR, 29, is currently being sought in connection with the death of a man whose body was found in a residence in the 1800 block of 39 Street S.E. MONTERROSO SALAZAR also uses the alias of David.

At approximately 12:15 p.m., today, Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2017, police were called to the Forest Lawn home for a report of a man in medical distress. Upon entry to the home, officers experienced the impacts of pepper spray. Once able to search the home, a man was found deceased inside.

Four others in the home, two children and two adult females, were also contaminated by the pepper spray, as were five officers. One of the females also suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital in stable condition.

MONTERROSO SALAZAR is Hispanic, 5’8” tall, 141 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. A photo of MONTERROSO SALAZAR is available on The City of Calgary Newsroom.

This incident is considered domestic in nature.
