Update - Charges laid in fatal stabbing at City Hall CTrain station

The Calgary Police Service has charged one man in relation to a fatal stabbing at the City Hall CTrain station.

At approximately 6:45 p.m., yesterday, Friday, June 2, 2017, reports were received of a stabbing on the platform of the CTrain station.

Upon arrival, officers found a 46-year-old male, Nicholas Ozoechi NWONYE, with life threatening injuries. He was transported to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

A suspect was taken into custody immediately following the incident.

Keeton Michel GAGNON, 39, of Calgary, is charged with one count of second degree murder.

GAGNON will next appear in court on Friday, June, 23, 2017.
