Undetermined death investigation - 130 Avenue S.E.

A body was located in a vehicle in the city’s southeast late this afternoon, and the Calgary Police Service has been called out to investigate what is at this time, an undetermined death.

Just before 4:30 p.m., today, Thursday, May 18, 2017, police were called to check on the welfare of a man within a vehicle in a parking lot in the 4700 block of 130 Avenue S.E. Upon arrival by EMS, the man was declared deceased.

As is standard protocol in all undetermined death investigations, the scene has been cordoned off and the medical examiner has been called out.

There is no further information at this time. Once the manner of death has been determined, an update will be provided.
