Traffic disruptions expected around Heritage Park

AMA is hosting its annual year-end appreciation event for more than 7,000 Calgary area AMA School Safety Patrollers tomorrow, and drivers should be aware that there will be traffic disruptions around Heritage Park Historical Village as a result.

The event is being held on Thursday, June 9, 2016. The children will be arriving at the park between 9 and 10 a.m., and will be leaving the park between 1 and 3 p.m. During these times, over 200 school buses will be moving students into and out of the park.

Given the large volume of traffic in those short periods, motorists can expect traffic delays in the area and are asked to avoid surrounding roads if at all possible.

The Calgary Police Service is proud to partner with AMA and local schools to support the AMA School Safety Patrol throughout the year and at the annual year-end appreciation event.
