Suspicious death in Oakridge

The Calgary Police Service Homicide Unit is currently investigating a suspicious death in the southwest community of Oakridge.

At approximately 4:45 p.m., on Sunday, Oct. 15, 2017, police were called to a residence in the 2300 block of Oakmoor Drive S.W., after a man was found deceased inside the home by a family member. The circumstances of his death are considered suspicious at this time.

An autopsy on the victim, who is in his late 20s, is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2017, at which time more details may become available. The residence will be held by CPS until the autopsy is completed.
