Suspect in Huntington Hills stabbing arrested

The Calgary Police Service has arrested a man wanted in connection with a double stabbing that occurred on Monday morning.

At approximately 7:45 a.m., on Monday, Aug. 15, 2016, police were called to a house in the 200 block of Huntcroft Road N.E., after a man and woman inside the house were stabbed. Police entered the house and found the man in life-threatening condition and the woman in serious condition.

Following a two-day search in north Calgary, police arrested a suspect on warrants in connection with the incident. Patrol officers located and arrested him without incident around 4 p.m., on Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2016.

Qisong ZHOU, 50, of Calgary, is charged with two counts of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, one count of attempted murder and one count of assault with a weapon.

His next court date has not been determined.
