Shooting - 17 Avenue S.E.

The Calgary Police Service is investigating an early morning shooting outside a southeast bar.

At approximately 1:40 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 28, 2017, police received calls about a shooting at an establishment in the 3600 block of 17 Avenue S.E.

It is believed a male patron exited the bar and discharged a firearm aimed at the bar. A female patron was transported to hospital where she received treatment for minor injuries.

Investigators are reviewing CCTV footage and speaking to witnesses.

This incident is not believed to be related to a homicide that took place later this morning.
