Seeking public assistance in Whitehorn stabbing

The Calgary Police Service Centralized General Investigations Unit is investigating a serious assault that occurred last night.

At approximately 10:50 p.m., on Sunday, Feb. 26, 2017, officers were called to the 700 block of Whitehill Way N.E., for reports of a stabbing. It is believed that over 20 people were in the residence when the altercation occurred. A 17-year-old female was taken to hospital in life-threatening condition, however, her condition has since been upgraded to stable.

Investigators have interviewed several potential witnesses and are currently reviewing CCTV from the area. There is no suspect information available at this time.
