Original Release - Seeking Public Assistance in Auburn Bay Shooting

The Calgary Police Service continues to investigate a shooting and theft of a vehicle that occurred yesterday in the community of Auburn Bay.

Just before 5 p.m., on Monday, Dec. 4, 2017, police were called to the 0-100 block of Auburn Meadows Garden S.E., for reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, one man was found to be suffering serious injuries and was transported to hospital in stable condition.

It is believed that two unknown men approached the victim as he parked his vehicle in an alley behind Auburn Meadows Garden S.E. Photos of a similar Toyota Highlander are available on The City of Calgary Newsroom. Police are asking the public to be on the lookout for this vehicle, which had the Alberta licence plate # BWX4030 attached at the time of the offence.
