Seeking public assistance - attempted ATM theft

The Calgary Police Service is seeking public assistance to help locate two men responsible for the attempted theft of an ATM.

At approximately 6:10 a.m., on Saturday, June 4, 2016, two men attempted to steal an ATM located at the TD Canada Trust Bank located at 12006 Symons Valley Rd. N.W., using a grappling hook, sledge hammer and clevis hitch.

They were unsuccessful in their attempt, but caused significant damage to the machine.

The offenders were seen driving an older model grey or brown Ford F350 with an obscured license plate. The truck had four fog lights attached to the front bumper.

The suspects are both described as Caucasian and approximately 6’1” tall.

One of the suspects was wearing a black sweater, black pants and a face mask. The other suspect was wearing blue jeans, a black sweater, a black bandana, yellow safety glasses and a grey hat with a red rim and red lettering of the word ‘Lucky’.
