TWO FIRES HIT SOUTH CALGARY

Calgary Fire Crews were called at 2:13 AM to 2 Street and 22 Ave SW, for a building fire. Crews encountered
occupants exiting the building and smoke and flames coming from the 4 floor of the 4 story apartment building. A second Alarm was struck, fire crews quickly evacuated 16 occupants and then extinguished
the fire.  With the help of a Calgary Transit bus the occupants could keep warm until other arrangements
could be made. Cause of fire is under investigation, no one was injured in this fire.
 
At 2:21 AM Fire crews were also sent to a single family home at 3 Street and 94th Ave. SE. All Occupants were out of building with no injuries. Upon investigation the Fire Crews found a fire in the basement and quickly extinguished the fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
