September 4-6 2010 CTrain Service Disruption

To facilitate construction work needed to improve the Northeast CTrain line, Calgary Transit is continuing maintenance on this line starting Saturday, September 4 to Monday, September 6.

 

CTrains will run from 10 Street West Station to Franklin Station only. Shuttle bus service will be provided from Franklin Station to McKnight-Westwinds Station and will also stop at Marlborough, Rundle and Whitehorn stations.  Normal weekend service frequencies will be used for both the CTrain and shuttle buses.

 

This work will include track work, signal upgrades, some roof repairs and other maintenance necessary to enhance the functional and aesthetic features of the stations; and to upgrade the platforms to accommodate future four-car CTrains.

 

These changes will increase customer comfort and safety by improving accessibility, improving lighting and enhancing visibility.

 

Regular CTrain service will resume at the beginning of service on Tuesday, September 7.
