Robbery - Financial Premises

On Wednesday, 2012 October 24, at approximately 11:00am, a lone male offender robbed the Scotiabank located in the 4900blk of Richmond Road SW.
 
The culprit entered the bank, approached a teller, and demanded of an undisclosed quantity of cash before fleeing the bank on foot in a north direction.  He indicated he had a weapon, however, none was ever seen.  Attending police officers, including K-9, and the HAWCS helicopter circulated the area, but were unsuccessful in locating the offender.
 
The culprit is described as follows:
 
  • Very dark skinned black male, with a full beard
  • 30 - 35 years old
  • 5'8" tall
  • Wearing a beige toque like fedora hat, large beige parka with a hood, and dark coloured pants
