Public Service Announcement: Check Your Smoke Alarms When You Set Your Clocks Back

 

As the Calgary Fire Department has witnessed on many occasions, a working smoke alarm can be the difference between life and death. When you change your clocks this weekend, please take time to change the batteries in your smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors. Hardwired alarms should also be tested, and any alarm over 10 years old needs to be replaced.

 

Be sure to remind your friends and family to do the same. Smoke alarms save lives.
