Police Investigate Collision with Cyclist in the South East

On October 28, 2012 at approximately 4:30pm, at the intersection of 19 Street and Millican Road in south east Calgary, an adult cyclist was struck by a Dodge Durango. It appears that the cyclist was eastbound on Millican Road SE and was struck as the west bound Durango was making a southbound turn on to 19 Street SE. The cyclist suffered severe leg and foot injuries and was transported to local hospital by ambulance. The adult driver of the Durango suffered no injury. The Calgary Police Service Traffic Section is conducting an investigation into this collision, and is asking for anyone who may have witnessed this collision to contact Acting Sergeant Bob Pughe at 403 567-4000.
