Fire destroys rural 2-storey house

Fire crews were called to a rural 2-storey house on 17 Ave and 92 St. SE. Upon arrival they encountered  smoke coming from 2nd floor windows. Fire attack crews entered the house and upon entry discovered that the floor had been compromised by fire. Recognizing this fact crews were then pulled from the building and withdrawn to a defensive firefighting position. At this point exposures were covered to prevent any fire damage to adjacent property. The house was a total loss.

There were no injuries to report and the cause is under investigation.
