Calgary road closures and lane restrictions for October 23, 2012

 

The right lane will be closed on eastbound 10 Avenue S.W. at 19 Street S.W. from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily on weekdays and 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays, starting Wednesday, October 24, for approximately two weeks (weather permitting). This is to allow for construction of a modified right turn island on the southwest corner of intersection.

 

Linden Drive S.W. will remain closed to through traffic, between Crowchild Trail and Legare Drive S.W. until Monday, November 5, as part of the Lakeview Storm Sewer Upgrade Project. Through traffic will be detoured via 66 Avenue S.W. and Legare Drive.

 

The southbound right lane on Blackfoot Trail S.E. north of Glenmore Trail will be closed from 9 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, October 24, to allow for traffic sign structure work. The speed limit will be lowered to 60 km/h during construction.

Northeast

52 Street N.E., between Maryvale Drive and Marlborough Drive N.E., will have a northbound right lane closure from Monday, October 29, at 7a.m. until Friday, November 2, at 3 p.m. for water utility work.

 

Barlow Trail N.E., south of 11 Avenue, will have right lane closures in both directions with intermittent 10-15 minute full road closure on Tuesday, October 30, at 7 p.m. until Wednesday, October 31, at 6 a.m. for traffic sign structure construction. Police will be onsite to control traffic.

 

Regal Crescent N.E., between Russet Road and 7 Street N.E., will have a full closure from Friday, October 26 at 7 a.m. until Saturday, October 27, at 1 p.m. for utility work. Detour signs will be posted.

 

There will be daily, various lane closures on Shaganappi Trail between Northland Drive and John Laurie Boulevard due to the widening of Shaganappi Trail.

 

There will be daily, various lane closures on 16 Avenue N.W. between Bowness Road and Shaganappi Trail N.W. due to ongoing 16 Avenue bridge rehabilitation work.

Bow Trail will be reduced to one lane in each direction on Tuesday, October 23, from 11 p.m. to Wednesday, October 24, at 5 a.m. to allow for overhead wire removal.
