Calgary road closures and lane restrictions for October 19, 2012

Southwest
4 Street S.W., between 22 Avenue and 23 Avenue S.W., will be closed from 7 p.m. Friday, October 19 to 7 p.m. Sunday, October 21, for utility work.
Linden Drive S.W. will be closed to through traffic, between Crowchild Trail and Legare Drive S.W. from Friday, October 19, to Monday, November 5, as part of the Lakeview Storm Sewer Upgrade Project. Through traffic will be detoured via 66 Avenue S.W. and Legare Drive.
Northbound Macleod Trail S.W., north of 36 Avenue S.W., will be reduced to one lane from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, October 20, for concrete construction.
Southeast
The right lane of northbound Macleod Trail S.E. at 13 Avenue S.E. is closed for the installation of an Enmax vault. Construction will continue and an additional right lane will be closed, reducing northbound Macleod Trail S.E. to two lanes at 13 Avenue S.E., starting at 7 a.m. Saturday, October 20 and lasting until 6 p.m. on Wednesday, October 24, weather permitting.
The two right lanes on northbound Blackfoot Trail at 42 Avenue S.E. will be closed from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, October 20, for water service repairs. The speed limit will be reduced to 60 kilometers during construction. The right lane on northbound Macleod Trail at 210 Avenue S.E. will be closed daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. starting Monday, October 22 until Friday, October 26. Speed will be reduced in speed to 60 kilometers to allow for intersection upgrades.
Northeast 32 Avenue N.E., east of 12 Street N.E., will be closed eastbound and reduced to one lane westbound from 7 p.m. Friday, October 19, until 5 a.m. Monday, October 22, for a utility installation. Detour signs will be posted.
After 5 p.m. on Sunday, October 21, Métis Trail will have two northbound and two southbound lanes between 64 Avenue N.E and 80 Avenue N.E open to traffic. This completes the final lane configuration of the Métis Trail Expansion project. Permanent signals are now installed at the intersection of Métis Trail and 80 Avenue N.W. Motorists are asked to drive with caution while adjusting to the new lane configuration.
Country Village Way N.E. will be closed between Harvest Hills Boulevard and Country Village Link starting on Friday, October 19 at 7 p.m. to October 21 at 6 p.m. for utility work.
Northwest
There will be daily, various lane closures on Shaganappi Trail between Northland Drive and John Laurie Boulevard due to the widening of Shaganappi Trail.
There will be daily, various lane closures on 16 Avenue N.W. between Bowness Road and Shaganappi Trail N.W. due to ongoing 16 Avenue bridge rehabilitation work.

West LRT
The right turning lane on westbound 17 Avenue S.W. at the intersection of Costello Boulevard S.W. will be closed until 7 p.m. Sunday, October 21. This closure is required to complete intersection asphalt work. Directional signage will be in place to allow for right turns at the intersection.
The right turning lane on westbound 17 Avenue S.W. at the intersection of 69 Street S.W. will be closed from 7 a.m. Thursday, October 18 until 7 p.m. Sunday, October 21. This closure is required to complete intersection asphalt work. Directional signage will be in place to allow for right turns at the intersection.
The left turn lane and the through lane of northbound Sirocco Drive at 17 Avenue S.W. will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday, October 19. Detours will be in effect. Northbound Sirocco Drive to eastbound 17 Avenue S.W. will remain open. This restriction is to allow for paving.
Eastbound 17 Avenue at Sirocco Drive S.W. will be reduced to one lane from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, October 19. This restriction is to allow for paving.
There will be no access from 17 Avenue S.W. to southbound Sirocco Drive S.W. from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, October 19, follow detour signs. This restriction is to allow for paving.
Lane reductions will be in effect from eastbound 17 Avenue S.W. to northbound Costello Boulevard S.W. from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, October 19.
The ramps from eastbound and westbound 17 Avenue onto northbound Sarcee Trail will be closed from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. Saturday, October 20. Follow detour signs.
