CALGARY FIRE DEPARTMENT RESPONDS TO HOUSE FIRE IN SOUTH EAST

 

Just prior to midnight the Calgary Fire Department responded to the 400 block of Willow Grove Crescent S.E. for reports of a house fire.  Upon arrival crews discovered a garden shed fully involved with fire and extension to an adjacent two storey detached single family residence.  Fire crews attacked the fire quickly, containing the fire to the exterior of the home.   A male resident along with his two dogs were evacuated as a precaution and were later allowed to return.  No injuries were reported.  The exterior siding of the house sustained minor damage while the garden shed was completely destroyed.  The cause of the fire is under investigation.
