Police respond to serious assault

The Calgary Police Service is currently investigating a serious assault that occurred this afternoon in the city’s northeast.

At approximately 4:30 p.m., today, Thursday, Nov. 17, 2016, police were called to the 100 block of Coral Springs Close N.E., for reports of a serious assault. An adult female was transported to hospital in life-threatening condition. Police have one suspect in custody and the investigation is ongoing.
